Yarr! Avast ye me hearties

Yet another International Speak Like a Pirate day comes to pass, please note the token effort in the subject of this post then disregard the whole pirate thing as it just gets on my nerves. Ta.

Weekend

This weekend was fun despite a minor setback or two. Friday night I got home and awaited Vic's arrival, which only happened slightly later than she said it would :). Then we bimbled over to Skipton and had a meal with my parents and my brother & sister in law in the new restaurant Goa Spice (it's where the YBar used to be, which I used to frequent, nothing like going into a restaurant and saying "I've thrown up in those toilets". The food was good and the only annoying bit was the parties of chavvish drunkards who insisted on shouting at each other. Die.

Saturday we went shopping in Leeds and I got a cool dragon thing that blows smoke out of its nose. Then we came back and got ready to go out to Leeds again. Managed to gather somewhat of a possee in the Fab although certain large gay members of our possee drifted over to the other LARPers that were in Fab.

Then, or about then, disaster struck. The bouncer ID'd someone about 3 people ahead of us and then used the phrase "I'm IDing everyone" in his defence. Thus I got ID'd and, being 22 and looking 25, I don't really take ID with me. I took it as a compliment and we sodded off home for a curry.

Sunday, RIM "moved in" (he's crashing on our sofa because WoW has taken priority over finding a place to live) and me, V, Leon and RIM went for KFC then played the game that Steve got me for my birthday. Decided we need a bigger table.


Obtaination
Spoke to my Ma and Pa about how RUBBISH the big round table in our living room is and whether we can get it replaced with another table (apparently called a "Gate-Legged" table) and a sofa bed. They said maybe.

Am going round to my brother's tonight to install his new Dell. This means that the Celery box on his floor (short of CD and HDD) is going to be b0rged into the flat. Also we're acquiring a PIII 600 with reasonable specs, am actually trying hard to work out what we can use 3 PCs for in the Living Room (beyond Music/Video/Browsing). Any suggestions?
